Washington Redskins Rumors – Charles Woodson Signing Possible?
With a terrific group of young talent on offense, the Washington Redskins should use this off-season to upgrade the defense and adding a couple solid veterans could make this the top team in the NFC next season.
One rumor that has hit the internet in recent days is the possibility of the front office adding veteran corner Charles Woodson. The 36-year-old missed more than half of last season with injuries, but he is a solid playmaker on defense and could give the defense a boost, even if it's for just a year or two.
Woodson has over 50 career interceptions and has returned 11 of those for scores. With Robert Griffin and company leading the way on offense, adding a player like Woodson is a move this team should make to give the team and its fans some optimism heading into 2013.
Another area of need is linebacker and former NY Jets outside backer Calvin Pace is a good option. The Washington Redskins are in good shape to become a dominant team in the NFC East and with some good moves this off-season, they could become a contender for a Super Bowl title.
